PHOENIX—The International Franchise Association (IFA) has named Samantha Loy, owner of three Always Best Care offices in Central North Carolina, as a 2023 Franchisee of the Year. Loy was honored at the 64th IFA Annual Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, for being an outstanding franchise establishment owner-operator.

The Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose performance and contributions help protect, enhance and promote the franchise business model. Nominated by their parent company, individuals are selected for their involvement in their communities, embodying the entrepreneurial spirit, fostering a strong and healthy culture with their workforce and assisting their fellow franchisees when called upon.
Loy purchased her first Always Best Care office in Burlington, North Carolina, in 2017. She now owns a second location in Chapel Hill and acquired an additional territory in Greensboro/High Point in 2023. Along the way, she has built a team of more than 170 caregivers and won numerous awards from Always Best Care, including recognition for the work she does to support community organizations and leaders in her cities, such as police, firefighters and health care workers.
