The MED Group is hosting a workshop, titled, "Taking a Deep Dive to Understand Payer Development Opportunities for the HME Provider," at Medtrade 2016 in Atlanta.

This workshop will help HME providers understand the intricacies of developing new payer opportunities in their marketplace. Health care coverage is changing, and as a result, HME providers have new ways of providing products and services to patients in their service areas. Contracts with Preferred Provider Organizations and Benefit Managers, to name a couple, provide an opportunity to continue to provide high-touch, high-quality services to patients and caregivers. Developing relationships, changing internal processes/procedures and arming your sales teams with tools and techniques are critical factors of success as providers enter, or expand, in this arena.

In this workshop, you will receive detailed takeaways such as:

  •     Understanding and defining a multitude of different payer models
  •     Checklist for patient coverage verification processes
  •     Discussion on the reality of collecting copays
  •     Changes in rules and modifiers by payer
  •     Resources for research of covered patient lives and clients
  •     Sales and marketing tools for marketing in the service areas
  •     Spreadsheet models for comparison of payer fee schedules
  •     FAQs for your staff regarding new payer models
  •     Best practices for process of payer audits
  •     How to know if your company is collecting the correct amounts

At the end of the workshop, each attendee will receive a certificate of completion for Payer Development with The MED Group’s Payer Development Program.

This workshop is presented by The MED Group in conjunction with Medtrade.
