TULSA, Okla. (May 12, 2014)—More than 50 million people in the U.S. have problems putting on and taking off their footwear. More than 1 million people in the U.S. have major orthopedic surgeries every year and are not allowed to bend or reach for six to eight months. The Shoe Boot Valet (SBV) is the only device specifically developed to assist the mobility-challenged person with pulling on and taking off their footwear without having to bend or reach.
The SBV device weighs approximately one pound and requires little to no grip strength. Valet Product Lines also patented a bootjack that attaches to the device and will pop off tighter-fit shoes and boots with ease.
“We see deficiencies in the market place and develop products to fill these needs and try to give pain relief and independence to millions of afflicted people,” says Trent Morris, CEO and founder of the company. “Everyone has a friend or loved one who needs our SBV. What could possibly be a better gift item than a device that gives relief from pain and more independence in daily living activities?”
Also new from Valet Product Lines is a new Sock Valet that will be the only sock-donning device with a gripping mechanism to pull socks and hosiery over the foot, ankle and up the calf with little to no bending or reaching required. The Sock Valet and Boot Valet will be released later this year. Visit shoebootvalet.com for more information and to watch a demonstration video on Shoe Boot Valet use.
