ARLINGTON, Virginia—The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare), a nonprofit organization advocating for home medical equipment (HME) services and supplies policies, announced that nominations have opened for its Van G. Miller Homecare Champion Award. The company said this award aims to celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to improving patient care, advancing the homecare and HME industries and advocating for the needs of homecare providers and their patients.
The company said its Homecare Champion Award, which was established in 2011, has recognized leaders in the HME industry who have gone above and beyond in efforts to elevate the standards of care and enhance the lives of individuals relying on HME. Additionally, the award aims to highlight the efforts of individuals who advocate for patient rights, improve access to care and promote the value of homecare.
To be considered for the Homecare Champion Award, AAHomecare said nominees must demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation and advocacy within the home medical equipment field. Nominees can include industry professionals, caregivers, advocates and others who have made a significant and lasting impact on the HME community. Submit your nominations here by Friday, Jan. 17.
