DALLAS—AccentCare (the company), a provider in post-acute care, announced that it is recognized as one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024” by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group.
“We are so proud to be recognized by Newsweek for our inclusive culture," said Laura Tortorella, AccentCare’s chief executive officer. "Embracing diversity isn't a task; it's our greatest strength. It elevates our care, enriches our team and transforms our workplace into a more dynamic environment."
The organization released its second year of DEI data to recognize the impact that a diverse workforce has on fostering innovation, improving patient care and driving overall success for the health care industry. The complete 2023 infographic data is located here.
AccentCare’s overall DEI Index improved from 74% in 2021 to 75.6% in 2023. The index was calculated using employee and patient experience survey scores. When a diverse workforce provides care, research has shown patients benefit in many ways, such as improved and optimized care delivery, lower patient anxiety levels, improved access to care and improved patient outcomes.
The Newsweek ranking is based on public data, interviews with HR professionals, and an anonymous online employee-survey. The top large and mid-size companies are recognized by their employees for respecting and valuing individuals from different walks of life.
“Diversity is a widely discussed topic—and it remains a crucial factor as people look for an employer or a business partner," said Nancy Cooper global editor in chief Newsweek. "Newsweek and market-data research firm Plant-A Insights are proud to introduce ’America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024,’ highlighting companies that are committed to offering diverse and inclusive work environments.”
