ASHEVILLE, N.C. (July 14, 2022)—Aeroflow Healthcare, a durable medical equipment (DME) provider based out of Asheville, North Carolina, is proud to announce their $100,000 donation towards an affordable housing project by Haywood Street Community Development (HSCD).
Located in Downtown Asheville, HSCD will be building an apartment complex for individuals and families with incomes at or below 80% of the area median income. The project is HSCD's first effort toward providing permanent residential apartments to the most vulnerable members of the Asheville community. Aeroflow Healthcare's contribution goes towards the $1.1 million HSCD must raise to officially begin the construction slated for August 2022.

We recognize that the community can't thrive when we have so many vulnerable residents unsure about where they will be sleeping next," said Casey Hite, CEO, and co-founder at Aeroflow Healthcare. "Providing permanent housing gives these individuals the opportunity to overcome health challenges, establish bank accounts and eventually find employment. It's a catalyst for growth and improved health in our community."
