BROCKTON and NORTHAMPTON, Massachusetts—Marking a significant milestone on its 43rd anniversary, family-owned and operated Best of Care, Inc., a Massachusetts’ homecare and care management provider, has acquired Northhampton, Massachusetts-based Barton’s Angels. Known since 1997 for its personalized homecare services in Massachusetts’ Connecticut River Valley, Barton’s Angels will now be part of Best of Care’s network, serving an expanded client base in the region.
Carol McIntire, a long-time leader on the Barton’s Angels team, steps into the role of Best of Care regional director for Western Massachusetts. Supported by Barton’s Angels Founder and President Nancy Barton Whitley and more than 60 professionally-trained caregivers, a nurse manager and an administrative team, Best of Care provides its care to more than 120 clients while expanding access to the region’s homecare, care management and move management services from its 335 Bridge Street, Northampton, Massachusetts offices.
“Our collaboration with Nancy Barton Whitley is a union of shared values and vision,” said Best of Care, Inc. President Kevin Smith. “This merger reinforces our dedication to ensuring that older residents and their families in Western Massachusetts receive a continuum of care tailored to their individual needs.”
Smith said Barton’s Angels' regional reputation and legacy are the ideal foundation for Best of Care’s expansion in Western New England.
“Our partnership with Best of Care reflects our mutual respect for the profession of caregiving and a commitment to creating a supportive employment experience,” said Whitley. “Together, we are poised to enhance the scope of our services, touching more lives with compassion and professionalism.”
