THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (December 2, 2019)—Bonafide Medical Group announced that it has partnered with EMist to provide the EPIX360, a new handheld disinfectant sprayer, as part of its Bac-Track solution.
The EPIX360 is an electrostatic disinfectant sprayer. This patented system can cover 4,000 square feed with just eight ounces of chemical. The system applies a bipolar charge to the chemical so that the oppositely charged target surface pulls the droplets like a set of magnets. As a result, electrostatic spraying of disinfectant provides the best technique not only for even, uniform coating of surfaces and hard-to-reach areas, but also provides a uniform coating and eliminates wasteful and expensive over-spraying.
Bac-Track helps health care facilities reduce the risk of infection due to cross-contamination. Following guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Bac-Track uses the measurement of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) levels to quickly identify the surface areas that are a higher risk for cross-contamination and health care acquired infections. Bac-Track complies with CDC guidelines to objectively evaluate surface contamination.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has established a new 483.80 guideline that requires health care facilities to maintain an infection prevention and control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment and to help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections. Bonafide’s Bac-Track solution has been designed to help comply with these guidelines. The Bac-Track solution allows health care facilities to review contamination by facility, department, EVS or housekeeper, and supports floor plan monitoring.
According to CDC Options for Evaluation Environmental Cleaning, Level II Guidelines, Appendix B, “the ATP system has been used to broadly document significant improvements in daily cleaning as well as provide quantitative measurement to indicate the level of cleanliness of high touch surfaces.”
