ATLANTA (December 21, 2016)—Brightree, a provider of cloud-based software to improve clinical and business performance of post-acute care companies, today announced it has given monetary donations to Portlight Strategies, the Hospice Foundation of America and the Caregiver Action Network, three national nonprofit organizations that support home/durable medical equipment, and home health and hospice communities.
The donations will help support the development and accessibility of medical equipment and supplies, and educational materials and resources for patients, people with disabilities, caregivers and other health professionals. Donations to each organization will be used for the following:
- Portlight Strategies will provide disaster relief equipment, supplies and projects aiding individuals with disabilities, including home/durable medical equipment.
- Hospice Foundation of America will support those who experience loss, and educate hospice professionals to help those coping with illness, grief and bereavement.
- Caregiver Action Network will provide education, assistance and resources to home health caregivers and support groups across the country

These funds will supplement workshops for caregivers to educate them about available resources such as home health care, support groups, respite care, clinical trials and hospice.”
