WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 17, 2020)—The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is granting bidders who uploaded a copy of their bid surety bond by the deadline for bid submission the opportunity to submit bid surety bond riders and/or page two of their bid surety bonds to ensure that their submission meets Round 2021 requirements. The deadline for submission is Thursday, March 26.
The American Association for Homecare reached out to CMS last week to request that bidders be allowed the opportunity to make sure their bid information was complete in light of reports of failures to properly upload surety bonds. CMS has clarified that this only applies to suppliers who uploaded a valid surety bond and have received notice that the CBIC needs additional information to ensure the bond meets all requirements.
According to the update on the CBIC site:
“Any submission other than a bid surety bond rider and/or page two of the bid surety bond from those bidders the CBIC has contacted requesting this additional information will not be consider. CMS has not offered any bidder the opportunity to amend their bid(s) in any way other than through a bid surety bond rider and/or submission of page two of their bid surety bond.”
The update also notes that bidders with questions can call the CBIC customer service center at (877) 577-5331 between 9:00am-5:30 pm (EST), Monday through Friday.
