LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 6, 2020)--Robotic pets designed for an aging population were the big winner at the New Product Pavilion Providers' Choice Awards at Medtrade Spring.
The awards, which HomeCare sponsors, are given based on attendee voting at the event at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The Gold Award went to Ageless Innovation's Joy for All Companion Pets, which are designed to bring comfort and companionship to the elderly at home or in long-term care without the hassle of pet ownership. You can learn more about the company and product by reading HomeCare's September 2019 feature on them.
The Silver Award went to the Philips Respironics Mask Selector, a tablet-based software application that allows respiratory therapists to custom fit CPAP masks by using a camera to capture a 3D scan of the patient's facial geometry. Philips has said that the product will improve fit for CPAP users and ultimately could assist with compliance. You can see HomeCare Editor Hannah Wolfson demo the product here.
The Providers' Choice Bronze Award went to the Let’s Move Rollator from Trust Care by Stander. Stander, which produces and sells a range of mobility-related products, is the North American distributor for the Swedish rollator company Trust Care, which has a full line of sleek, modern rollators. The Let's Move is a lightweight version with a carry bag, back strap and easy folding ability.
