MONTVALE, New Jersey— Dynarex Corporation, a durable medical equipment and disposable medical product provider, named Amy Strobach as the winner of the 2024 Dynarex Emergency Medical Services (EMS) First Responder Caring Award (FRCA). This award recognizes EMS professionals and agencies that have demonstrated exceptional care through service actions or programs designed to improve the health and safety of the community.
This award was presented to Strobach for her commitment and contributions to the EMS field by John Burns, director of corporate training and events at Dynarex, during the opening ceremony at the 2024 EMS World Expo in Las Vegas.
"Supporting the EMS community has always been a cornerstone of our mission at Dynarex,” said Zalman Tenenbaum, chief executive officer of Dynarex. “We are honored to present this award as a testament to the dedicated service of EMS professionals everywhere. Our commitment to providing these vital workers with the necessary tools to perform their lifesaving duties remains steadfast."
Strobach has been a part of the Clear Lake Area Ambulance Service in rural northwestern Wisconsin since 2011. Strobach led a collaboration with the local school district to boost emergency training and first aid instruction for students, which expanded the first responder team. Over the past year, she has clocked more than 6,300 hours of call time, responding to 177 of 235 emergency calls.
"I began working alongside her in 2014 as her EMS partner and now as her director," said Misty Wood, ambulance director for Clear Lake Area Ambulance Service. "(Amy) has become the program coordinator for the explorer program, working on recruiting future EMS professionals and assisting in their training and journey into EMS. Not only is she an amazing person, but she is one amazing first responder. This service has only been able to function as good as it has because of her dedication to her job and her love and passion for what she does."
