The Lake Forest, Illinois, dementia-focused homecare agency aims to address the growing Alzheimer's crisis

LAKE FOREST, Illinois—Full Bloom Memory Care, a dementia-focused homecare agency, announced its official launch in Lake Forest, Illinois. Serving the greater Chicago area, Full Bloom intends to specialize in one-on-one memory care at home and comprehensive support for families navigating a loved one’s cognitive changes.

Founded by industry experts Jim Kimzey, Andy Tysinger and Jennifer Muskat, the company aims to combine deep dementia care knowledge with personal experiences from family challenges. With a blend of professional expertise and personal commitment, Full Bloom’s mission will be to enrich the lives of families dealing with dementia.

"Our goal is to create an environment where people with dementia can flourish,” said Kimzey, Full Bloom’s co-founder and CEO. “We are committed to not just managing symptoms, but (also) enhancing the quality of life for our clients and offering ongoing support to their families.”

The company said it aims to utilize a long-term, tailored approach to care for people with cognitive decline, as well as help clients rediscover the joys of once-cherished pastimes, from spending afternoons at the Art Institute to sailing on Lake Michigan. The company intends to manage the complexities of dementia care over time by providing quality care in the home and maintaining each client’s dignity and autonomy. Additionally, the company said it aims to equip families with the training and resources needed to reconnect with their loved one and enjoy present moments together in new ways.

“When my family founded Home Care Assistance, I had the unique opportunity to watch them build a homecare business from the ground up,” said Muskat, Full Bloom’s co-founder and chief client officer. “Later, as I joined and helped to expand the business, I gained invaluable insights into the specific needs of families dealing with dementia. At Full Bloom Memory Care, I'm eager to leverage this experience to substantially ease the burden these families face.”

“My vision is to make Full Bloom a beacon of quality and efficiency in memory care, where the needs of clients and the well-being of our team are at the heart of everything we do," said Tysinger, Full Bloom’s co-founder, president and chief operations officer.
