OLD FORGE, Penn. (August 22, 2018)—Golden Technologies announced its video introducing the MaxiComfort power recliner with Twilight positioning has been named a bronze winner in the 39th Annual Telly Awards. The launch video was honored in both the General/Home Furnishings category and the category of Craft-Directing for a Promotional Video. The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and it is judged by leaders from video platforms, television and streaming networks, agencies, and production companies including Vice, Vimeo, Hearst Digital Media and BuzzFeed.
“Golden Technologies is pushing the boundaries for video and television innovation and creativity at a time when the industry is rapidly changing,” said Sabrina Dridje, managing director of the Telly Awards.
Golden’s director of digital media, Tim Robinson, stated, “It is a credit to the huge undertaking involved in elevating our marketing to the next level, hiring talented people to help us create real product lifestyle pieces that not only inspire consumers but help us illustrate the way these products can make you feel.”
The video was created to highlight the world’s first three-motor luxury recliner. The chair was taken off-road in the Arizona desert with world-renowned, time-lapse expert Justin Farrell, whose work can be seen on The Discovery Channel and National Geographic, and has been viewed by millions on YouTube. Robinson added, “What’s interesting about this particular piece is that none of it has been enhanced by Photoshop. The goal was to capture twilight, which we did, under the brightest stars we could see, doing a series of long exposures for several hours over two nights.”
