The acquisition intends to increase the company's homecare presence in Florida

CHICAGO— Help at Home, a national provider of in-home personal care services, announced the acquisition of Caregiver Services Inc. (CSI), a caregiver referral services provider. Help at Home said the acquisition aims to expand its homecare presence in Florida, as well as its Medicaid managed care programs and homecare services for aging seniors.

“We're excited to bring like-minded organizations together to enhance the value and quality of homecare service offerings in Florida,” said Ray Smithberger, chief operating officer of Help at Home. “Like Help at Home, CSI has a unique culture of caring that's deeply rooted in its Florida communities, and we're looking forward to working closely with our partners to continue that culture, which we know leads to improved client and caregiver experiences.”

CSI has offered support to clients in Florida communities for four decades. Through the acquisition, Help at Home seeks to manage homecare services in Florida communities that are primarily Medicaid and private pay populations. The 49 Florida counties with Help at Home locations include West Palm Beach, Palm City, Daytona Beach, Palm Bay, Summerfield, Miami, Coral Springs, Clearwater, Tampa, Fort Meyers, Sarasota and Winter Park. Additionally, Help at Home aims to strengthen its support of seniors and chronic populations through operating nine of the eleven managed long-term services and supports regions in Florida.

“With a great homecare organization like CSI, Help at Home is even better positioned to continue advancing the industry as we meet the growing demand for services from seniors and underserved populations who want and deserve to age in place in their homes in the state of Florida,” Smithberger said.
