DALLAS—Homecare Homebase (HCHB), a software provider for home-based care, announced that it finished 2024 with increased market leadership, improvements, advocacy impact and product innovation. The company said it aims to deliver advanced tools and customer support in 2025.
"2024 was a year of action for Homecare Homebase—action to equip agencies with the tools to succeed, to amplify the challenges they face through advocacy and to deliver meaningful improvements in patient care," said Luke Rutledge, president of Homecare Homebase.
In 2024, HCHB helped support several industry partners, including 43.8% of home health agencies, 38.7% of hospice providers, five of the top five home health agencies and four of the five largest hospice organizations. The company also introduced several new products and enhancements to help address challenges in home-based care, including medication kits, patient visit reminders, smart scheduling and personal care service lines. The company said it spent the year helping customers optimize revenue cycle management and streamline operations.
According to the company’s 2024 results, HCHB clients outperformed industry averages in quality measures. Additionally, home health agencies using HCHB often achieved an average Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) star rating of 3.83—compared to 3.02 for non-HCHB agencies—with 91% of HCHB agencies receiving a rating of three stars or higher.
The company said it will focus on innovation and expanding its reach to serve agencies of all sizes in 2025. Additionally, the company said it hopes to continue enhancement efforts for documentation workflows, artificial intelligence technologies and improved care delivery.
