GOLETA, California—Inogen Inc., a medical technology company, announced the appointment of Mira Kirti Sahney to its board of directors. The company also announced the retirement of Tom West, who has served on the board of directors since April 2023.
“Mira brings considerable management, technical and operational experience in the medical device field to Inogen,” said Elizabeth Mora, chairperson of the Inogen board of directors. “Mira’s appointment will further strengthen Inogen’s board with another talented, experienced and capable member as we advance our position as a global leader in respiratory care.”
“On behalf of the board of directors, I would also like to thank Tom West for his contributions to the board and company,” Mora said. “He has played an important role in the transformation of Inogen over the past two years.”
Sahney currently serves as a board member of Claria Medical, a surgical tools company. She has served as president of the pelvic health operating unit at Medtronic from 2021 to 2024, and as president, director and CEO of Hyalex Orthopaedics, a medical device innovation company., from 2017 to 2021.

Sahney has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. Sahney also holds a Master of Science degree in engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In connection with her appointment to Inogen’s board of directors, Sahney will be joining the compliance committee and the nominating and governance committee of the board.
