ATLANTA (April 17, 2020)—Medtrade and the American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) want to delay the DMEPOS Medicare Competitive Bidding Program for at least a year due to the market disruption caused by COVID-19. Tom Ryan, president and CEO, AAHomecare, and Mark Lind, show director, Medtrade, are encouraging HME providers to take this quick survey to share how COVID-19 has impacted business.
AAHomecare is conducting the survey to quantify increased company costs and supply chain disruptions that have resulted from the COVID-19 public health emergency. The Association's position is that CMS should delay the Medicare Competitive Bidding Program by at least one year due to the market disruption.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has requested that AAHomecare gather data on the pandemic’s impact. Please take this important survey to share how your business has been affected and how you believe your business will be impacted over the next few months.
Individual company information and responses will remain confidential; the information will only be shared in the aggregate with CMS. Please have one person respond per company. Responses are due by close of business on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
