FORT MYERS, Florida—Merits USA, a provider of power wheelchairs, scooters and stairlifts, announced the appointment of Andrew Maskery as its new president. Maskery, the company’s current VP of finance, will succeed Mike Laiman in the position beginning in January.
“On behalf of Merits Health Products, we are delighted to appoint Andrew Maskery as President of Merits USA,” said Jonathan Cheng, president of Merits Health Products. “Andrew has been an invaluable member of the Merits team for the past four years as vice president, playing a key role in driving the company’s growth and success. We are confident that his leadership will build upon the solid foundation established by Mike Laiman and propel Merits USA to even greater achievements.”
Before joining Merits, Maskery earned his American Certification Agency for Healthcare Professionals certification, which seeks to recognize practitioners who have attained a standard of knowledge through structured programs or work experience. Additionally, Maskery has assisted the launch and development of two medical start-ups. With more than 18 years of experience in aerospace and manufacturing, Maskery aims to bring expertise to the new role and continue Merits’ innovation efforts.
“Together, we will continue to enhance the quality of life for our customers and take Merits to new heights of success,” Maskery said.
