ST. LOUIS (October 25, 2022)—The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) announced a new strategic initiative today at its annual conference.
Unveiled as NAHC 2.75, the new initiative builds on the goals of NAHC 2.0, which launched in 2018 with the goal of improving the membership experiences and advocacy of the organization.
NAHC President and CEO William A. Dombi joined Board President Kenneth Albert on the main stage to announce the new initiative. NACH membership will be allowed to submit comments to make sure it is aligned with members' goals and needs, they said.
NAHC 2.75 features new mission and vision statements for the organization and is centered on three new strategic goals.
“A vision is not where we are now,” said Albert. “It’s where we want to be down the road.
New Mission Statement
Promote, advance and protect the highest quality of care in the home.
New Vision Statement
Be the leading and unifying voice for home care and hospice.
New Strategic Goals
1. Foster innovation in public policy, technology, business practices and clinical practices
2. Enhance member relations, experience and value
3. elevate the image, awareness and effectiveness of care at home
“Not everybody knows who we are,” said Dombi. “We’re going to have a very active campaign with strategic goals to make sure we don’t end up back where we were at the start of the pandemic,” left off the national distribution list for personal protective equipment and not initially considered for CARES Act relief dollars.
“We know the dynamic of health care is changing. We cannot take our eye off the fact that while we believe in our integrity, that we have to promote ourselves to the administration and the American people,” Albert sad.
