LAS VEGAS (May 29, 2018)—Naturally Able, a new website for people with disabilities, aims to provide free resources and news to help their readers lead healthier lives. The website, naturallyable.com, also offers a free magazine via email subscription and an online discussion group.
The goal of the new online resource is to “help readers discover healthy lifestyle options and alternatives, regardless of your ability or disability,” according to the Naturally Able website.
“By offering these resources, Naturally Able is serving an existing need for more natural, healthy lifestyle options in the disability community,” publisher and founder Lisa Wells said. “We received more than 2,000 visitors in our first week of service online with no paid advertising, and that simply speaks to the ongoing desire for more help in this area from our audience.”
Some of the resources you can currently find on the Naturally Able website include advice on:
- Financial planning for parents and caregivers of people with special needs
- Amazon Prime perks for people with disabilities
- Ways to explore the great outdoors on wheels
- Avoiding medical supplies made with known carcinogens
- The risk of sleep apnea for quadriplegics
- Low-cost hacks for better home accessibility
In addition to offering free resources, Naturally Able aims to financially support non-profits within the disability community by donating 10 percent of all net income received from advertising to local chapters of United Spinal Association and the Spina Bifida Association.
“We’re thrilled to give back to the community we serve with ongoing financial contributions to these non-profits, and we are thankful for the opportunity to be able to do so,” Wells continued.
