ALEXANDRIA, Va. (September 12, 2019)—The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) and International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) have announced the co-location of their 2020 annual conferences in Denver, Colorado.

NHIA, the voice of the home and specialty infusion industry, will be holding its 2020 Annual Conference April 5-9, 2020, bringing together more than 1,200 industry professionals together for the industry’s leading education and networking event.

IACP, the voice for pharmacy compounding, will be hosting its EduCon 2020 event, bringing together pharmacists, technicians and other compounding professionals together for education and networking opportunities within the industry.

Both events will be held concurrently at the Gaylord Rockies in Denver, in this first-time partnership. This newly built Gaylord conference center offers accommodations, dining options, and conference and exhibit floor space all under one roof.

“This co-location allows us to expose our respective members to different practices and business models, as well as expand education opportunities for both groups of attendees. Our mutual goal is to provide attendees with an enriched networking and learning experience,” said NHIA’s president and CEO Connie Sullivan, BSPharm.

IACP attendees will have the opportunity to attend NHIA’s Sterile Compounding Clinic—a four-day program on sterile compounding standards and best practices and visit NHIA’s exhibit floor to see innovative home infusion products and services from more than 100 companies serving the industry. There will also be joint NHIA and IACP networking opportunities.

“Each conference will retain its individual flavor and mission, but the fresh perspective and additional networking with industry professionals allows both organizations to create a big-tent event, convening significant compounding segments of the health care industry,” said IACP Executive Vice President Scott Brunner, CAE.

Details on registration and respective conference programming will be announced in the coming months.
