ATLANTA (May 18, 2016)—The nation’s premiere HME-focused trade show is more than five months away, but it’s not too early to mark calendars for the October 31–November 3, 2016, show at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Members of the educational advisory board (EAB) have been reviewing Medtrade Spring feedback in an effort to make the 2016 Medtrade the best ever.
Bob Johnson, owner of Mid-Nebraska Mobility, Kearney, Nebraska, made the trip to Medtrade Spring earlier this year in hopes of finding new ways to cope with phase one of the January 1, 2016, competitive bidding rural rollout.
“Caretailing is going to be driving us with less reliance on Medicare, Medicaid, and third party insurance,” said Johnson. “It’s scary, but the industry has changed. We have to look for new avenues, and that’s why we were at Medtrade Spring. We will certainly consider attending Medtrade later this year in Atlanta.”
The Innovative HME Retail Product Awards (sponsored by HomeCare Magazine) will once again be back at Medtrade 2016. As in past shows, nine finalists will get a chance to make presentations at a special session. Session attendees and judges will be able to vote to determine the top three winners.
“Caretailing is one of many facets that will shape Medtrade during what is sure to be a crucial time for the industry,” says Kevin Gaffney, group show director, Medtrade. “We will soon be announcing the kickoff of early registration for Medtrade. Early registration rates are a great way to save money and get the show firmly on your calendar for 2016.”
