FRESNO, Calif. (June 1, 2017)—Sunrise Medical announced that Thomas Rossnagel, President and CEO since 2009, has decided to leave his position for family reasons.
Effective June 1st, Johan Ek, chairman of the Board of Directors, will take over as acting CEO.
“Thomas Rossnagel has led Sunrise Medical’s transformation to a global industry leader with revenues approaching €500 million in 2017. He has worked relentlessly towards Sunrise Medical’s vision to “improving people´s lives” by designing, manufacturing and marketing of innovative, high quality premium complex rehab mobility products and services. It is with regret I have accepted Thomas’ resignation”, said Johan Ek, chairman of the board.
“After 20 years of service at Sunrise Medical, I would like to spend more time with my family. For that reason, I have asked our owners Nordic Capital to find a new CEO for Sunrise Medical. I took this step to ensure continued success of this great business. It is the right time for a new leader to take Sunrise Medical to the next level”, said Thomas Rossnagel.
