FRISCO, Texas—Soleo Health, a specialty pharmacy services provider, announced it has earned specialty pharmacy accreditation from URAC, a nonprofit accreditation entity.
“This URAC reaccreditation underscores Soleo Health’s dedication to delivering the highest levels of quality care and service to our patients,” said Drew Walk, CEO of Soleo Health. “Meeting all URAC’s benchmarks clearly represents our company’s and team’s commitment to enhancing the lives of our patients with complex conditions, including rare and ultra-rare diseases.”
The URAC accreditation aims to set standards for clinical practice, consumer protections, performance measurement, operations infrastructure and risk management within the health care industry. Soleo Health said earning this accreditation seeks to demonstrate its commitment to quality care, enhanced processes, patient safety and improved outcomes.
“Now more than ever, specialty pharmacies are an essential part of the patient care team and patient experience,” said Shawn Griffin, URAC’s president and CEO. “URAC congratulates Soleo Health on their achievement of specialty pharmacy accreditation. This achievement demonstrates excellence in pharmacy operations, product handling, patient education and patient management. When an organization achieves URAC accreditation, they demonstrate their commitment to improving their quality of care, which is important to patients, providers and payers.”
URAC said its specialty pharmacy accreditations are awarded to specialty pharmacies that meet or exceed standards across more than nine focus areas, including pharmacy operations, patient management and compliance.
