FRESNO, California & MALSCH, Germany—Sunrise Medical, an assistive mobility solutions company, announced the acquisition of Nuprodx Inc., a California-based manufacturer of bathroom mobility products. This acquisition intends to strengthen the Sunrise Medical portfolio with the addition of Nuprodx’s bathroom mobility solutions.

Founded in 1998, Nuprodx offers shower tub slider systems and other bathroom products for mobility-impaired users. These systems include lightweight, portable designs that provide safety and ease of transport for users who need seated access to bathtubs and showers. As part of Sunrise Medical, Nuprodx aims to improve its distribution network across North America.
David Gaskell, president and CEO of Nuprodx, will continue to lead the Nuprodx team within Sunrise Medical.
