SARASOTA, Florida—The Tidewell Foundation board of trustees announced its new board officers for its 2025 fiscal year. The Florida-based nonprofit hospice provider, which is a member of Empath Health, was established in an effort to provide philanthropic support to Tidewell Hospice and Empath’s not-for-profit affiliate organizations.
Founding Tidewell board member Tom Stuhley will serve as the board’s chair in 2025. He will succeed Renee Eppard, who served as board chair since the foundation’s inception. The other 2025 board members include Jason Toale as vice chair; Kory Lee as treasurer; and Victoria Kasdan as secretary.
Stuhley is currently in his third term of service to the Tidewell Foundation board. He is a member of Caldwell Trust Company’s board of trustees, an emeritus member of the board of Wisconsin’s Aurora Health Care (South Region) and a trustee of Aurora University-George Williams College. Additionally, Stuhley is a former member of the Casey Key Association board and the Asolo Repertory Theatre endowment foundation.
Toale is currently in his second term on the Tidewell Foundation board. He serves as the VP of operations of Robert Toale and Sons, a service corporation international brand. Toale is a member of the leadership Sarasota class of 2025 and sits on the boards of the Florida Cemetery, Cremation and Funderal Association, The Argus Foundation, Tiger Bay of Sarasota and the Old Miakka Cemetery.
Lee, VP and wealth advisor of Truist Wealth, is currently serving in his second term on the Tidewell Foundation board. Lee has served in leadership roles with Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo Advisors before becoming a financial advisor.
Kasdan, who is currently serving in her second term on the Tidewell Foundation board, has more than 30 years of experience in for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Kasdan is a registered nurse, former public health administrator and seasoned executive. She currently serves as CEO of consulting firm Mission Made Possible LLC and is a co-founder and current board chair of Making an Impact, a nonprofit aiming to provide information on essential need services in Sarasota and Manatee counties. She is on the board at Jewish Family and Children's Service of the Suncoast in Sarasota and was appointed to the regional Health Council of West Central Florida, in which serves as board chair.
