VERTESS was ranked number one on Axial's "2024 Healthcare Top 50" list & welcomes Christine Bartel as the senior health care executive managing director

FORT WORTH, Texas—VERTESS, a health care mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm, was awarded the number one lower-middle market sell-side M&A advisor on Axial's “2024 Healthcare Top 50” list. VERTESS was recognized on the list for the deals it brought to the market and the level of interest those deals received in the network. Additionally, the company welcomed Christine Bartel as managing director for its senior health care executive team.

Axial is a private deal network that serves professionals who own, advise and invest in North American companies. The list features the top 50 most active members who worked on transactions across various health care sectors over the past 12 months.

Managing Director Bartel joins the company with nearly 30 years of health care experience. Previously, she held administrative and executive leadership positions, in which she was responsible for clinical compliance, care coordination and operational efficiencies.

"After years of directly providing health care support, I believe my skills and experience offer a critical advantage to other health care leaders considering their next steps,” Bartel said. “I am keenly aware of the daily struggles owners have to maintain high-quality care while also managing the daily operational demands. The opportunity to work with VERTESS was an easy decision. We are aligned in our commitment to helping people achieve success."

Bartel has served in multiple leadership roles throughout her career, aiming to deliver strategic guidance and management services to diverse health care organizations and facilitate leadership operations, joint ventures, facility expansions, service line developments and M&As. She has supervised health system executives, physician groups, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, insurance companies and post-acute organizations.

Bartel earned her bachelor's degree in economics with a premedical emphasis from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Master of Business Administration degree focusing on health care administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
