WATERLOO, Iowa—VGM & Associates announced Randy Piper has joined the leadership team as VP of vendor contract management. In his new role, Piper aims to drive new vendor business development, optimize contracts and ensure compliance across vendor agreements.

Piper has experience in health care supply chain management and has worked on supply chain contracting programs for companies like Intermountain Healthcare, Virginia Mason Medical Center, OSF and ProMedica. He previously served as the managing director for Biocom Purchasing Group, where he specialized in savings and cost reduction for Life Science organizations across the nation. Additionally, he has worked with Intalere, McKesson and Owens and Minor, where he helped manage annual contract purchases, supply chain operations and business relationships with suppliers and providers.

As VP of vendor contract management, Piper aims to invest in deeper support for vendor partner accounts and ensure all vendor contracts deliver value to the company’s members and vendor partners.
