WATERLOO, Iowa (December 3, 2019)—VGM Government Relations has updated their communications and brand to streamline the way they provide information to their members.
VGM members can expect to see new forms of communication, such as monthly newsletters, breaking news emails and reports. Updates have also been made to the VGM Government Relations blog which will now be the primary source for the most up-to-date government news. Members are encouraged to subscribe to the blog to receive legislative updates which highlight payer relations, reimbursement, regulatory, legislative and state news affecting the home medical equipment (HME) industry.
“Our purpose is to position our members for success not only today, but well into the future. Getting accurate information to them as quickly as possible is a crucial part of that,” said John Gallagher, vice president of government relations. “We’re streamlining communication so our members can easily access the smartest, most up-to-date content whenever they need it. That is what these changes are designed to do.”
An overall brand refresh is also part of the updated communications plan, including a new look and tagline.
While some big changes have been made, the experienced VGM Government Relations team continues to be at the service of their members. Tom Powers, director of government relations, and John Gallagher, vice president of government relations, specialize in state and federal legislative efforts. Ronda Buhrmester, senior director of payer relations and reimbursement, and Craig Douglas, vice president of payer and member relations, specialize in state associations and payer relations. Mark Higley, vice president of regulatory affairs, specializes in regulatory issues. And Emily Harken, government relations executive assistant, specializes in advocacy and state associations. Together, they are the premier grassroots experts for government affairs in the HME industry.
“We provide our members a seat at the decision-making table in their district and state government offices,” Gallagher said. “By focusing on grassroots solutions to address the issues our members face every day, we support them in their fight for a fairer, more profitable future.”
