TORONTO, Canada (December 20, 2022)—Ability Members Group, one of Canada’s networks of independent home medical equipment providers, has announced the addition of Starkmans Health Care Depot to its membership. A Toronto institution for over nine decades, Starkmans began as a pharmacy and grew into a key destination for health care products ranging from ostomy, home safety and mobility aids to rehab and home medical equipment.
“Joining Ability Members Group represents an important decision for us,” said Joan Starkman, president of Starkmans. “We made the decision based on the quality of the current members; the opportunity to collaborate meaningfully with both other members and suppliers; and most importantly, the leadership they demonstrate in the market.”
A family business since it began in 1929, Starkmans offers a wide range of products to help meet their clients home health care requirements and much more. Starkmans diverse product offering enables them to support clients with everything from mobility aids, bathroom safety, ostomy, through to exercise and various therapeutic areas, and they also offer both rental and purchase of hospital beds and wheelchairs.
