CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (Feb. 20, 2014)—ACU-Serve Corp., a provider of billing and collection services to home medical and durable medical equipment companies, announced cofounder Jim Knight as chief executive officer—a role he has shared with cofounders Angie Barone and Tim Barone, who have decided to pursue other opportunities.
Joining Knight in leading ACU-Serve is new business partner Tom Meadows and Cindy Hoyt, CPC, MBA, chief operating officer. Meadows has provided IT consulting services and software development for human resource information systems through several entrepreneurial ventures, most recently Anglebar Solutions in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Hoyt has worked in patient accounting and financial services for several hospital systems. Prior to joining ACU-Serve, she was director, Revenue Cycle/HIM and privacy officer at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.
Additional staff joining the ACU-Serve team include:
• Stephanie Greene, Esq., who will head up the Auditing and Consulting Division. She will counsel clients in billing audits and appeals, as well as other issues related to compliance. Greene previously served as general counsel and senior client advisor for The Audit Team and Harrington Management Group in Canton, Ohio.
• Samantha Haynam, RN, MSN, and Yvette Nugent are new account managers. Haynam previously served as director of Aultman Home Medical Supply and on the adjunct faculty of Aultman College of Nursing and Health Services, both in Canton, Ohio. Nugent most recently worked at Pacific Pulmonary Services as director of compliance, reimbursement rules and regulations.
