WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 7, 2022)—The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Competitive Bidding Implementation Contractor (CBIC) recently announced the redesigned CBIC homepage. The redesign includes improved aesthetics, simplified visual content emphasizing the current durable medical equipment (DME) Competitive Bidding Program (CBP) phase, one-click easy access to each phase and a new display of upcoming events. It’s also more mobile-friendly, allowing providers to better view web pages on their devices, such as smartphones or tablets.
The update includes newly posted Contract Supplier FAQs that answer general questions about the DME CBP and Connexion FAQs to assist in locating and completing forms in Connexion, the program’s secure portal.
CMS expressed thanks to the DME suppliers who participated in reviewing the redesign and providing valuable feedback. CMS and the CBIC always welcome continued feedback and input on future improvements to the website.
The CBIC, under contract with CMS, is the official source for information regarding the DME CBP. CMS cautions suppliers that neither CMS nor the CBIC independently reviews or verifies information concerning the DME CBP posted on websites other than the CBIC website or cms.gov website.
