WASHINGTON, D.C. & SCHAUMBURG, Ill (September 24, 2021)—CellTrak, a provider of a mobile solution empowering better outcomes for home and community care and the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), announced that they continue their joint scholarship program for homecare aides that debuted in 2020.
Homecare aides are the backbone of home- and community-based services, providing patients with care that helps them reclaim their independence while staying comfortably in their homes. The recent coronavirus pandemic has proven that people are safer and healthier when cared for in their homes. Without caregivers bravely venturing into patients’ homes during the height of the pandemic, no such care could be provided.
“NAHC is thrilled to be continuing our partnership with CellTrak. This scholarship is a proven way to help homecare aides advance their careers, tell their stories of what caregiving means to them and highlight the difference it has made in the lives of their patients,” says William A. Dombi, Esq., president of NAHC. “America needs to hear from the people who provide care to our most vulnerable citizens.”
November is National Homecare Month, a time to celebrate the practice of homecare and all the individuals who make it possible. Part of November’s celebrations includes one week dedicated to homecare aides, in particular. In honor of homecare aide week, CellTrak and NAHC will offer 20 recipients a $500 scholarship to continue their educational efforts and further themselves in the industry.
“We are incredibly happy to offer this scholarship program again this year,” said, Andrew Kaboff, Founder and CRO, CellTrak. “Last year it was quite humbling reading over 500 nominations to select our winners. As a company we took time to read over 30 of the stories to our staff to ensure they know why they work so hard each day to deliver an easy-to-use product for the frontline. Each story was more touching than the next. From a single mom working during COVID after losing it all in a fire, to an eight-month pregnant CNA providing care even when there wasn’t enough PPE. We are truly inspired by the individuals and are very happy to award more deserving individuals this year.”
This will be the second year a scholarship program will be offered through NAHC for homecare aides specifically. Aides awarded with scholarships will be announced in during Home Care & Hospice Month, November 2021. If you are interested in nominating an outstanding aide for the scholarship, please do so here by Oct. 8, 2021.
