Using feedback from clients and employees, as well as quality benchmarks from Home Care Pulse, the Assisted Living Services management team set goals to reach the highest level of excellence possible.
Assisted Living Services has a program called CarePlus, which blends care with innovative technology from sister company Assisted Living Technologies, Inc. CarePlus aims to enhance care and reduce costs to the client thereby extending their ability to remain at home.
Additionally, Assisted Living Services is a partner of the State of Connecticut, serving as a credentialed provider of the Adult Family Living/Foster Caregiver (AFL) program that pays caregivers a tax-free stipend of more than $500 per week who serve as primary in-home caregivers to an elderly individual.
Assisted Living Services maintains its outstanding level of care with dedicated staff members who truly love working with the elderly. Employees undergo a National Criminal Background Check and eVerify check with the DHS to assure that all new hires can legally work in the U.S.
“Our employees are our most valuable asset and we are grateful that they helped us earn Employer of Choice,” said D’Aquila. “Some of our caregivers have been with us for more than two decades.”
In appreciation of its staff, the company implemented a monthly $5,000 Platinum Caregiver Award program in 2019 to recognize employees who have exceeded expectations for quality care. During the pandemic, five employees were selected per month to win $1,000. Since inception, these unprecedented programs have awarded a total of $180,000-plus to 100-plus stellar caregivers.
