WATERLOO, Iowa, May 10, 2013— It’s one of the best deals in the home medical equipment industry on so many levels, but quality education is really what the VGM Heartland Conference is all about. The nine tracks of education at the June 10-13 extravaganza have been approved for continuing education units by eight different accrediting bodies:

NRRTS—National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers accepts IACET CEUs for possible consideration.

RESNA—Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology Society of North America will provide up to 2.1 CEUS for registered attendance and successful completion. For every one hour of class participation, .1 CEU will be awarded.

AARC—American Association for Respiratory Care has approved up to 23 CRCE credits for successful completion.

ABC—American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics has approved up to 23 credits; full participation is required to be eligible for the full amount of credits.


BOC—Board of Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification. After successfully completing this program, participants can earn up to 23 Category II CPE credits or 17 Category I CPE credits.

ANCC—American Nurses Credentialing Center: CE Solutions Group, a division of VGM Education, is an approved provider of nursing continuing education by the Alabama State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s COA (conference approved for up to 19 contact hours).

IBON—Iowa Board of Nursing. CE Solutions Group, a division of VGM Education, is an approved provider of continuing education for the Iowa Board of Nursing, # 335 (conference approved for up to 2.28 CEUs).

IACET—International Association for Continuing Education and Training: As an IACET Authorized Provider, VGM Education will offer up to 2.1 CEUs for registered attendance and successful completion of this educational program.
