CONCORD, New Hampshire—Granite VNA President and CEO Beth Slepian has been named a 2025 Outstanding Women in Business Awardee by New Hampshire Business Review for her commitment, vision and leadership in health care. The annual awards celebrate New Hampshire women who excel in their professional lives and communities as leaders and as role models.
Slepian was among eight women leaders from various industries to be honored by New Hampshire Business Review at the annual Outstanding Women in Business Award event Thursday evening, April 3, at Southern New Hampshire University.
Slepian joined Granite VNA in 2013 and was named president and CEO in 2015. Since joining the agency, she has guided it through key events and milestones including the 2021 merger of Concord Regional VNA and Central New Hampshire VNA and Hospice to form Granite VNA and a subsequent rebrand; the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting (and persistent) workforce challenges; as well as the agency’s 125th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of Hospice House.
“As I reflect on my professional journey, I think of the women who paved the way and the amazing teams and mentors who have supported and continue to support me,” said Slepian. “These women have taught me that leadership is about more than simply making decisions—it’s about making a real difference in people’s lives.”
In addition to her leadership of Granite VNA, Slepian dedicates time and expertise to local, regional and national community and homecare and hospice organizations, including grassroots advocacy during homecare and hospice legislative sessions in Washington, D.C. She is an active member of the National Alliance for Care at Home where she contributes to the Governance/Nominating Committee and Government Affairs Advisory Council. As a member of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice board, she contributed to the association’s governance on federal policy and advocacy initiatives, regulatory blueprints, legal strategy, member services and engagement and strategic direction. Her collaboration with other industry thought leaders ensures that health care at home remains a vital component of the American health care system.
Locally, she serves on the boards of the Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care Alliance of New Hampshire and Wolfeboro Area Meals on Wheels, Inc. She formerly served on the boards of CATCH Neighborhood Housing and Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.
Under Slepian’s leadership, Granite VNA was honored with the 2020 Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award as business of the year, the 2023 Granite State Independent Living Community Partner Award and the 2025 CATCH Neighborhood Housing Community Collaborator award. Slepian herself was honored with New Hampshire Business Review’s 2020 Business Excellence Award; she was recently named to New Hampshire Business Review’s “New Hampshire 200” class of 2025; and was recently recognized by CATCH Neighborhood Housing as Volunteer of the Year for her board service.
Slepian holds a bachelor of science in physical therapy from the University of Vermont and a master of business administration with a concentration in nonprofit leadership from New England College.
