NEW YORK—HHAeXchange, a provider of homecare management solutions for state Medicaid agencies, managed care organizations and providers, announced the company has been selected by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as its Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) aggregator.
Michigan has one of the highest percentages of residents aged 65 and older nationwide—with more senior citizens wanting to age in place. Additionally, more than 2.9 million individuals are currently enrolled in Medicaid in Michigan. As a result, the homecare provider industry in Michigan is expected to grow to $3.71 billion by 2028.
As Michigan’s aggregator, HHAeXchange will connect payers and providers across the state, allowing for greater visibility and transparency among all stakeholders, and making it easier for them to monitor their network’s performance and ensure better care for their members. Additionally, provider agencies using HHAeXchange’s platform will have a greater ability to recruit and retain caregivers, while building a better foundation to improve member outcomes.

HHAeXchange will provide comprehensive oversight and management of Michigan’s EVV data in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act’s EVV mandate, via the state's open EVV model. Through this approach, HHAeXchange will be able to serve over 124,000 lives and support approximately 1,900 homecare provider agencies.
