DALLAS—Homecare Homebase (HCHB) announced its home-based care software solution is the first to achieve dual verification status from Community Health Accreditation Partner, (CHAP). A non-profit accrediting body for home and community-based health care organizations, CHAP is approved by CMS and is a recognized leader in accreditation for both home health and hospice.
“HCHB and CHAP share a commitment to enabling quality patient care and innovation,” said Scott Decker, CEO of Homecare Homebase. “Our position as the first software platform to be awarded dual CHAP verification status further illustrates our dedication to helping HCHB customers provide the best possible care for patients in the home.”
CHAP Verified status is granted to tools and resources used by community-based care providers that, through rigorous inspection, show no roadblocks to executing the CHAP Standards of Excellence and innovate to improve the delivery of high-quality care. To confirm HCHB’s verification, CHAP conducted two separate product surveys of the Homecare Homebase platform, taking into account the requirements for both Age-Friendly Care at Home Certification and CHAP accreditation. According to HCHB, as part of the Age-Friendly Care at Home verification process, its product team also went above and beyond to create a guide to assist Homecare Homebase customers seeking Age-Friendly Care at Home Certification.
“We have been excited to work closely with Homecare Homebase on both CHAP verification projects and look forward to collaborating as more HCHB home health and hospice customers pursue Age-Friendly Care at Home Certification and CHAP accreditation," said Teresa Harbour, chief operating officer for CHAP.
