The Brandon Hall Group Award recognized HomeWell's Learning Lab

BURKBURNETT, Texas—HomeWell Franchising Inc., the parent company of the national nonmedical homecare provider HomeWell Care Services, has received the Brandon Hall Group Silver Award for Excellence in Learning Experience Platform (LXP) Implementation. This award recognizes the Learning Lab that HomeWell launched last year to support its franchise system.

In partnership with the cloud-based learning platform company TraCorp, HomeWell achieved this honor for its approach to online training for franchise owners and their staff. Only the top 20% of entries receive recognition, with HomeWell being among the few to receive one of just four Silver Awards granted in the LXP Implementation category this year.

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognized among so many innovative and reputable organizations, not only nationally but also globally,” said Michelle Cone, senior vice president of Training and Brand Programs at HomeWell. “The Learning Lab was designed to empower our franchisees and their teams with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed, and this award truly validates the hard work and innovation that went into its development to accomplish this feat.”

In HomeWell’s category, which highlights the implementation of Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), the franchise was recognized for its approach to assessing the need for an LXP, developing a strategic business case and effectively implementing and adopting the platform. The Learning Lab was noted for its successful alignment with HomeWell’s organizational objectives, its comprehensive implementation strategy and its significant impact on business outcomes.

“Excellence Award recipients have consistently demonstrated their commitment to employee growth and well-being through innovative human capital strategies,” said Rachel Cooke, Brandon Hall Group chief operating officer. “These organizations have implemented HCM programs that drive outstanding business results and create a positive and empowering work environment.”

Intended to serve as a one-stop shop for all training initiatives, from onboarding new franchisees through its LaunchWell program to ongoing professional development, Learning Lab offers a range of online resources, including virtual workshops, networking events and on-the-job tools.

“Learning Lab’s intent was never just about providing information; it was created to cultivate an engaging, supportive environment where our teams can thrive and grow,” said Erika Ehlers, senior director of learning at HomeWell. “This award is a testament to the value our new LXP brings to our franchisees,”

Ehlers, along with Learning Design and Engagement Manager Matt Hyre, spearheaded the development of Learning Lab, transforming HomeWell’s previous training materials into a more engaging and effective format.

“We wanted to ensure that our content was not only comprehensive but also accessible and interactive," Hyre said. "The feedback from our users has been overwhelmingly positive, and this recognition further motivates us to continue enhancing the platform.”
