STATESVILLE, North—Iredell Home Health, a part of Iredell Health System, achieved accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
Accreditation is a process through which health care organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Iredell said its accreditation by ACHC reflects its dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
“I’m so proud of our staff. We had a very successful survey that demonstrated our continued commitment to providing care according to the standards expected by ACHC,” said Linda Thompson, director of Iredell Home Health. “This accreditation reflects the hard work and diligence of our staff as they strive every day to provide excellent care to the patients in their homes and in our community.”
ACHC is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) deeming authority for home health, hospice and durable medical equipment, prosthetics/orthotics and supplies.
Since 1974, Iredell Home Health has cared for homebound patients as a certified, accredited nonprofit agency. Home health care is an excellent alternative to nursing home care or hospitalization, allowing the patient to receive care within the familiar comforts of home. Counties of service include Alexander, Cabarrus, Catawba, Davie, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Wilkes and Yadkin. The home health team provides care seven days a week.
