Medline Reimagines Science and Nature at SAWC Spring 2014

Marathon Liquid Skin Protectant

Marathon is a non-stinging barrier film designed to provide skin protection for a variety of conditions and can help guard vulnerable skin from adhesives, friction and incontinence. It forms a fully flexible protective layer over intact or damaged skin. Marathon, a cyanoacrylate skin protectant, has a variety of uses and was recently featured in the March 2014 issue of International Wound Journal. The findings point to the positive management of compromised skin and cost effective results.

Additional Medline solutions included:

• Revitalon—Helps the healing process in the most chronic wounds including those at risk of amputations through this wound covering made of human amniotic tissue. The option of a multi-dot application allows for versatile use of the amniotic tissue at a significantly lower cost.

• Clinicians also presented findings on the subjects of relieving pressure on vulnerable heels, skin protectant pastes, and foam border dressings based on experiences with Medline products and solutions.
