WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 4, 2022)—The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that Nov. 6, 2022, is the last day that the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) will process Medicare enrollment applications for durable medical equipment, prosthetics and orthothics (DMPOS) suppliers.
Starting Nov. 7, 2022, two new contractors will process Medicare enrollment applications for DMEPOS suppliers to make sure they meet all supplier standards and enrollment requirements:
Novitas Solutions: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands

In the announcement, CMS said suppliers don’t need to do anything, and to continue to work with the NSC through Nov. 6.
