(June 24, 2014)—SleepSafe Beds has engineered and introduced a fully Manual SleepSafe Bed with a high-low foundation, which raises and lowers mattress height, and an articulating feature which raises and lowers head and knee sections of the bed. All features are operated by three easy-to-operate cranks conveniently located in the front panel of the bed below the safety rail.
The bed is offered in four versions: the high-low foundation with articulation, a high-low foundation without the articulating feature, an articulating foundation without the hi-low feature, and remote controlled electric articulation with a manual hi-low foundation.
“Our primary concern is always the child in the bed,” said Gregg Weinschreider, president, SleepSafe Beds. “Typically, cranks were located in the footboard. We wanted to provide a design that would allow better interaction between the parent and child. We also saw the possibilities of reducing the room needed for the bed.”
SleepSafe Beds is a domestic USA manufacturer of adaptable safety beds, featuring removable safety side rails, designed to address entrapment and falls for those with special needs. Visit sleepsafebed.com for more information.
