ATLANTA (May 8, 2014)—It may be six months away but software companies are already making their presence known for Medtrade 2014. More than a dozen companies have already purchased space for the nation’s premiere HME trade show, scheduled for Oct. 20-23, 2014, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
The themes of efficient operations and smoother billing processes are already gaining traction due to an environment of shrinking reimbursements. Companies such as Kansas-based Strategic AR have reserved space at Medtrade, with several more already on the list and more coming soon.
According to Jennifer Leon, director of marketing and customer service, Strategic AR, Overland Park, Kan., the early booking is all about the belief that the historically resilient HME industry can effectively capitalize on projected demand.
“It’s no secret that revenue is down for many HME providers, but demand is steadily growing,” says Kevin Gaffney, group show director, Medtrade. “While these two forces are at work, it makes sense that software companies that truly lower costs can help providers’ bottom lines. Thus far, these software companies are well represented at Medtrade, and we expect many more on board in the coming months.”
“Medtrade provides us with the platform to introduce our new technologies to often time-strapped providers who are actively looking for new resources and technological solutions for their businesses,” says Leon. “We not only connect with new names and faces, but we also see a great deal of current customers at Medtrade. Maintaining that customer-centric focus is very important to our overall initiatives.”
Leon will be demonstrating Strategic AR’s AutoPAY functionality and eDelivery of invoices at Medtrade. “Providers need new technology to secure and collect patient-pay AR,” she says. “AutoPAY gives providers the 100-percent coverage required in today’s industry by allowing providers to work with patients on payment plans while guaranteeing timely and accurate payment.”
