FRESNO, Calif. (November 6, 2015)—Sunrise Medical is pleased to announce the launch of the Quickie 7 Series ultra lightweight rigid wheelchairs.
The Quickie 7 Series wheelchairs are designed for active users who want the highest level of customization and the lightest weight materials. The 7 Series’ frame is crafted from 7000 Series aerospace aluminum that has been heat treated to increase strength and allow for thinner, lighter weight tubing.
The 7 Series wheelchairs are available in two models—the 7R and 7RS. The 7R features an adjustable frame that allows for quick back angle adjustments. The 7RS features a fully rigid backrest and axle plate, creating the lightest, most efficient ride.
“The Quickie 7 Series chairs are truly top-of-the-line, utilizing premium materials and technology. From caster wheel placement to frame graphics, each component of the 7R and 7RS can be customized to the user in our manufacturing facility,” said Brent Hatch, Sr. Director of Product Management, Manual Wheelchairs.
Completely unique to the Quickie 7R is the Freestyle Backrest System option. Available exclusively with the JAY J3 back, the Freestyle Backrest System adds unmistakable style to the wheelchair and improves the user’s range of upper body motion by eliminating traditional back canes.
The 7 Series wheelchairs offer Quickie’s highest level of customization, with 2 model types, 3 caster settings, 2 frame lengths options (per seat depth), 7 rear wheel options, and 9 rear tire options. A premium selection of options—including new frame graphics, 4-Link Suspension, Quickie Xtender Power Assist, and carbon fiber components—are also available.
With customized ergonomics, premium materials, and a new open back design, the Quickie 7 Series wheelchairs offer active users the ultimate freedom of movement.
