KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Feb. 17, 2014)—Therafirm, a brand of Knit-Rite, Inc., has announced plans to launch Ease by Therafirm—a more affordable premium gradient compression product line.
Extensive research, development and testing have led to a new, innovative product that meets consumer and doctor demands regarding ease of use, medically correct compression, affordability and comfort. Ease by Therafirm will offer premium gradient compression that is more affordable for patients and engineered using ultra-stretchy yarns for a garment that is easier to put on and more comfortable to wear.
Mark Smith, CEO of both companies, announced, “…We are finally ready to launch such an innovative opaque compression product like Ease. After listening carefully to the feedback we’ve received from doctors and customers, we knew we wanted to focus primarily on affordability, durability and breathable comfort and still provide a wide range of style and compression options.” Also note-worthy is the product’s CoolMax moisture-wicking fibers, included to keep feet dry, cool and odorless.
“The worst compression garment is the one that doesn’t comfortably fit a patient and is hard for them to get on. We’ve given Ease a flexible sizing system and made it easier to get on, as well as more comfortable to wear,” says Evan McGill, national sales manager for Knit-Rite and Therafirm. McGill also adds, “Ease offers both short and long lengths to accommodate a wide array of heights, has a broad color selection and is priced very affordable for most patients.”
Pilot colors available will include black, sand, natural, bronze, cocoa, coal, navy and khaki. Available for both men and women, Ease will offer a wide range of styles including women’s and men’s knee highs, unisex open-toe knee highs, men’s and women’s thigh highs, unisex open toe thigh highs, women’s pantyhose and unisex open toe waist highs. As for level of support, Ease compression levels will include 15-20 mmHg (mild), 20-30 mmHg (moderate) and 30-40 mmHg (firm). Visit knitrite.com.
