The Cigna Group, headquartered in Connecticut, has agreed to pay $172,294,350 to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by submitting and failing to withdraw inaccurate and untruthful diagnosis codes for its Medicare Advantage Plan enrollees in order to increase its payments from Medicare.

DALLAS—Elara Caring, a full-scale, multi-state home health provider of clinical and personalized services, has acquired American Family Home Health, a 35-person, privately owned skilled home health care provider in Huntley, Illinois, within Winnebago County.

The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) added another home medical equipment (HME) industry veteran to the team. Stephanie Legree was named to a newly created project manager position. Legree has more than 20 years of experience at Binson’s Home Health Care in progressively responsible positions, including her most recent role as co-director of the business office and vice president of government affairs.
